Life is MOVING ON!

 today is 1-16-2013.
it is so hard to believe and i know i dwell on it a lot but GEEZ, where is the time going?
I was off the whole month of December having surgery. I thought it would be a long, slow, layed back month with lots of down time for me to chill. Sit, drink my coffee, and enjoy life. Now i am saying...where did that month go??
It was a good month, and i did get to sit and drink a cup of coffee or two, but i guess i want MORE. haha. December was a month of birthdays, robs, mine and the Good Lords!  That part was nice.

I am back at work now since the 7th, and back into a routine. I feel good physically. i am so thankful i was able to have the surgery, and i am looking ahead to some pain free months!

Basketball is underway again, and we are not having a good year as a team!Zac is kicking butt though!! He is scoring a lot and is having a personal best year. He hates losing but with him scoring a lot, it helps his mood at the end of the day.

cody has started his last semester of nursing!!! come May he will be taking his test and should be an RN and ready for the work force. I am so proud of him... please pray for may!!lol

Matt, Mollie and the boys did not start the year off good. Brody had the flu last week and was a sick little fella, then Levi had a bought with the stomach virus just as Brody was getting better! This week i pray they are all better and things are back to normal.

Matt and Cody are excited this week because Softball starts! we are all headed to Dallas this weekend for Winter Worlds. it is going to be nice to watch some softball again!

the house is coming along pretty good since the first of the year...keep on keeping on!

until next time....

I just read this and wanted to share. These 45 things are so true... I need to leard to follow them for a happier life

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step..
3. Life is too short - enjoy it..
4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and
family will.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.
7... Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9.. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11... Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it...
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye But don't worry; God never blinks.
16... Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful. Clutter weighs you down in many ways.
18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It's never too late to be happy. But it's all up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23 Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will
this matter?'
27. Always choose life.
28. Forgive but don't forget.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does..
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood.
38.. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd
grab ours back.
41. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have not what you need.
42. The best is yet to come...
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift."

Christmas 2012..has come and gone.
it seems like it comes and goes way way too fast anymore. We work, work, work, to get all the shopping done, all the house decorated, and then all the food cooked, and in a blink of an eye, it is over. This year was really odd for me. The kids are bigger and didnt have anything FUN on the list.  They didnt need anything either. So, clothes is what was given, and what was wanted. That is not fun. lol
The grands just had a big birthday party in September and they got TONS and TONS of toys then. There is really nothing out there they need, and not much out there they dont have! So it was difficult to shop for them too.
Robert and i decided not to buy for one another this year too. We didnt need anything, so we decided to buy a new fireplace for the house. There is so much to do on the house, and to us, the fireplace is next! i am really excited to see the new progress coming!

The boys have been dating up a storm. We hardly ever see them anymore. So, life for me and Robert is totally different. I still feel guilty doing things without everyone else, but i think i will be able to adapt soon..Haha.

the surgery was almost 4 weeks ago now. i am healing really good but GEEZ i stay tired. i try so hard to not over do it, but i am not doing a good job at it. i will go back to work part time next week(YUCK) and then to the Dr. the following Monday.  I am so not ready to go back to work! i have enjoyed being home and taking it easy. i enjoy my own time, and working at my own pace. i love taking care of my family. Maybe one day, God will see to it that that is what i get to do. ;)

The new year has a lot in store i know. i really, really hope there are not as many changes as in 2012. that was a year packed with changes.
1. we moved into a new place
2.cody and zac both got girlfriends and are never home
3.our job has had several not good changes
4.christmas was really weird
5.i had major surgery
6. the boys are all at monumental ages
matt-29 cody-21 and zac-16
7. i was a big whiner and rob had to listen to me
8-no major vacation (meaning NO beach!)
9-zac became a driver
10-i moved away from my swimming pool!
and those are just a few that i have on the tip of my brain..i know there were tons more.

2013 COME ON..I THINK WE ARE READY FOR SOMETHING NEW!!!

THANKSGIVING 2012

today, was the best! i love being around my family, talking, hanging out, taking pictures, watching the kids connect, seeing all the smiles, hearing all the conversations,.... it just is amazing how nice it is to be with family. to feel totally at peace with yourself and who you are.

i am so thankful for my life. for God. for Robert. for matt. for cody. for zac. for mollie. for levi. for brody. for our home(even tho it has tons of work to be finished). for our jobs(even though all of that is as jacked up as anything could be)..God thank you so much for being in my heart and soul. for walking (guiding) me thru each and every day. For giving me a husband who loves me unconditionally. for kids who i see YOu in. For everything in my life!!!

Thank you LORD for all these things and more!

this is the funniest, craziest, and happy family i know.  i love it when we get together.

zac has started playing some roundball again! 2 games in, he has scored 33 points! 17 the first game and 16 the second. wooohoooo!!! i love it!
we did a really quick shoot before dark..and got some pretty amazing pics of this precious family. i love you guys so much..
cody and kenzie had their own photo shoot! i was so excited when cody asked me to take them out and shoot! we got tons of good pics too!
11-10-12... matts first deer. actually, this was his first day ever to deer hunt! it wasnt a bad day in the woods, and it sure put some meat in the freezer!
Brody and Levi... oh my goodness these two boys melt my heart. i love them so much. just look at those faces, and smiles!! they are growing up so fast tho.

well, there ya go... a little bit of what i have been up to! my sweet, loving, awesome family.

really, i feel like all i do is work! but looking back thru some pics to post about our goin ons..i realize i have a lot of family time too. I guess work just consumes my mind, not quite all my time. lol

life is a little hectic and stressful right now. we just learned a week ago that the warehouse has sold, and they do not plan on keeping it open. so, if that pans out like we are told, rob, matt and i will all be out of a job. it is very daunting to think about. it worries me more hours than i like to admit. i pray a whole, whole lot and i try really hard to give all my worries to God. i just cant seem to do it. it's not that i dont have faith in God, cause i really do. it is just hard not to think what could happen to us.

but after a long day at work, and a long day of worry, i look at these faces and know that they are all that really matter to me. i love these people more than anything i know. they are the reason i try most days. i am proud of who they are, what they stand for and how they fit in my life.  i do know God will be there for us. what will become of our job and us financially, i dont know. but He has it... i do know that!

Get a good perspective, appreciate the simple things God has blessed you with.

love you all..and if you read this, please say a prayer.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR LEVI (4)AND BRODY(1)..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU TWO!

on Oct 6, 2012 Mollie and Matt did a joint birthday party for the boys. And, i am sure you can tell, they did a PIRATE theme. It turned out to be one of the best parties ever! There was a great turnout, the kids all played so well on the big Pirate Ship daddy and poppa built.
It was so good to watch the smiles, and hear the fellowship goin on.
I LOVE THESE TWO SWEET BOYS.
